Reliance Fresh claims that its prices are lower by 30% seemed to be untrue for us. We decided to shop at Reliance Fresh, Hyderabad. Consider for example, Fuji Apples cost a whopping Rs 99 per Kilo and NZ Kiwis Rs 185 per kilo. These prices were not lower by 30% when compared to other retailers, Big Bazaar.Another disappointment faced was the RelianceOne membership card. You can enroll into the scheme and you will be able to start accumulating points only 6 months after being a member. Insane ? Not me, maybe Reliance management is. Try it yourself. They also put so many other clauses, which makes RelianceOne Membership card good for your trash can.

guess..may be this pricing has to be relooked again...because they claim...that they are cheap...and in some cases(source: industry reports/primary visits)....they are...instead of EDLP (Expected pricing strategy).....they are following hybrid pricing strategy...with focus on some key products like tomato, potato, onion..etc..

reliance has taken a big step to organise this sector , by the 2010 you will find new shopping experience throughout the india.
That is not true, you start earning points from day one, you'll receive the plastic customized membership card, depending on your usage in 6 months time.
Thats not True, I have made purchases from Relience fresh,New delhi and found them to be atleast 15-20% cheaper from the nearest local market.
as far as the card is concerned , you are absolutely wrong, you start getting the points immediatly, no one has to wait for six months.
The staff is highly trained and guide you well,
It is very true that the reliance fresh card is a trash. I got a card from sector 27 the oulet near Vinayak Hospital on 31.01.2007 but my details are not updated till date i.e.4.7.07 dispite several visits at two outlets one at Shopprix and the other at Vinayak Hospital. Only yesterday did they gave me a replacement card which will take at least two weeks to activate.How far it is true has to be seen. Prices on the display in the morning at Shpprix outlet varies in the computer. Display are low and computer bill it is higher. The offers displayed are not given. I will give you my personal experience to the same 800gms Maggie offerred two free chocolate on the display but on asking I was told that this scheme does not exist any longer. If the scheme does not exists than why display such scheme???? Than there was an offer on Chintamani namkeen, buy two get one free and all the variety advertised. when I took the namkeen I was told it has to be the same type of Nmakeen. So why mislead your customer in making him understand a scheme which actually does not exist. How should we put it at misleading or cheating in a suttle way.With great effort first time I was givenm a register to write complaint and I am sure it must have been thrown in the trash can after I must have left. Second time I was given a comments register as I did not accept any paper and simple register. I had to wait and waste my time but I wanted to put in my experience in my complaint. Further more dispite several written complaints no action taken by reliance management till date on the irresponsible professional behaviour of their employees. Reliance has a name it is a big outlet people expectations are much higher than the ordinary mart. I am actually disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!
Think people's expectation from Reliance & Tata is very high. Hence, even if they make a small mistake it is blown out of proportion. The small time shopkeepers have been doling out lousy quality at high prices but noboby could complain!! Who do you complain to - the dukandaar? the thelewala - who would say lena hai to ho nahin to aage jao. Infact I find the shop very clean and nice. Vegetables are fresh and the staff is helpful. Also, my experience with the RelianceOne card has been very good. I get their SMS on the best offer. I also got a coupon with my plastic card. The card had my name on it. Lage raho Reliance. Well ! some time its true there s no big price difference when compared to market but at the same time if we compare the waight / quantity, there is a huge diff .... Because at Reliance or Subhiksha, we are paying for exact quantity unlike outside vendors. If you crosscheck the quantity of the goods purchased at out side vendors, it could be even as low as around 750 Gms for 1 KG.

Time to time we might need to crosscheck RELIANCE n SUBHIKSHA Weigh scales also !!!!! Just put any sealed packed 1 KG pouch on scale !!!!!!

Price can not be compared single alone.....if you see quality of both store then you will get the answer...
I have a serious complaint to be raised against Reliance Fresh, Sahara States, Hyderabad. I hope this is the right place where i can raise my concern.
I feel the management at this store is not proper. I have quite a few issues which i want to discuss
1. The quality of vegetables and fruits is sub standard. Often i see rotten stuff in whole of the store. This is giving invitation to the flies to come and spoil the other stuff inside the store.
2. There is no consistency being maintained in keeping a item. If i see a item A today then tomorrow i would not see that item A in the store.
3. This concern directly revolves around TRUST. I read words of wisdom of Late. Dhirubhai ambani and some where it was mentioned that the company grew only because of "TRUST". I would like to quote an example of today itself. I took Fuji Apples which were priced at 81.90 Rs. When i go for billing then the system shows me 84.90 Rs Kg. This is not the first time this has happened with me. The same thing happened when i purchased yellow glass cloth wherein the price mentioned was 25 Rs but when billing is done then price comes as 30 Rs.
See people come with a TRUST on the name Reliance but issues like this makes my trust vanish away.
I have raised my concern by giving feedback form 5 times but never you people bothered to call back the customer. Neither any action was taken.
I would request you to close this franchisee because this is leading to people losing "TRUST" on Reliance. The franchisee has nothing to loose but "RELIANCE" will have an increase in unhappy customers.
all those who felt cheated by super marts best option is to avoid and share u'r exp with others.once the foot falls decrease these stores will learn.
2. buy only branded materil which is available outside also.so one can check the price difference to verify the claim of cheapest. Big bazaar for example stocks very less of better known brands but more of self brands which are not availble outside.how to verify the lowest price claim?
3.more often than not these stores cheat you on groceries ( rice, wheat, dals etc) there is no way a guy can check quality with outside.these stores claim they are selling superior stock and charge premium.but in my experiance your neighborhood kiranawala is better both in price and quality. he knows you and delivers the same quality for you. in reality the biggest advantage these big stores like reliance is they made kiranawala insecure. so the keep customers they too are offereing discounts and improving quality
4 as far as iam concenrned i buy branded mall like soaps in subhiksha ( cheaper)and rice etc form kiranawala( cheaper). so i have the best of both worlds.
i have bitter exp with big bazzar. we baught horlicks 1/2kg billed for 1 kg by automatic bar code reader!!! HOW!!!
tried to buy prestige tawa. it has two price stickers one form big bazzar ( Rs 40 more) one from prestige. when i pointed it out the store guy told me they are revised prices by company as it is old stock. i showed him the date of packing printed by company as the current month.he said he did not know.he will charge Rs 730 as against Rs 690 of prestige. he said they are giving 10% discount.i just walked out and baught it from side gully store Rs 690 - 10% discount
the price of vegetables are at par with other shops of vegetables.And the quality was also not upto the satisfaction
I visited the Reliance Fresh for the first time in Arjun Nagar, South Delhi. It was a bad experience. It is not cheaper than market. There is lot of difference in displayed price and the charged price. When brought to the notice of Manager Mr. Rajesh instead of being apologetic he was rude and said you can complain to any body you like and you dont have buy if you dont like. THAT IS FRESH.
Reliance Retail has stirred the market with their proposed concepts and created a hype thru PR ,just like they did during 2003 world cup cricket for Infocom.
They really did a good job when first Reliance fresh stores were opened in Hyderabad.It was a nice show .I being a retail professional rushed to Hyderabad from Pune to see these stores.
I think the make-up is good but I was surprised at the logics (forecasts) given by Shri Raghu Pillai and Gunender Kapoor in press releases on the projected turnover of Reliance fresh.Here are figures , RF will open 30 stores in Hyderabad and will achieve 3 crore of Turnover per store per annum. All india 3000 stores will give Rs 9000 crores of TO.This means that RF which was opened for vegetables and fruits will do Rs 25 lacs per month or Rs 80000 of sales per day. If I assume vegetables and fruits at an average of Rs 20 per KG this will amount to 4000 kg of sales or 4 tonnes per day per store.Guess how many trucks shall be required to visit 30 outlets in Hyderabad only per day( Why don't you plan your transport service to manage logistics and backend).
Also they forgot to think that these are perishable good which rot at the end of the day. I have seen with my own eyes that RF stores are left with many kgs of rotten vegetables. Smartly the management introduced pulses , cosmetics , FMCG to fillup their wrong strategy to fool Mukesh Bhai.But believe you me , the store in Pune ( Wanowarie) is testimonial of declining footfalls and reduced morale of employess , I am sure the sale is declining.Re the basic ingredients( staple foods , atta etc ) you can fool only cities like Bangalore and Pune and Mumbai where traditionally Kirana stores are selling at MRP. Try to sell Ashirwad Atta for Rs 165/10 kg in Delhi , Faridabad and Ghaziabad and your so called Heads from Spencer and tyre industry will realise that INDIA IS DIFFERENT and also the best learning ground for professionals. This is vendetta by Amar Singh against Mukesh Ambani of RIL and the scapegoat was Banwari Lal Kunchal. Amar Singh has said in an interview that he distrusts Mukesh Ambani, he hates Mukesh Ambani and he dislikes Mukesh Ambani.
Amar Singh had a grudge and he showed this by trying to close Reliance Fresh Outlet on the 1st day of their opening.
Mayawati has to bow down before SP leader Amar Singh so as to protect her government from falling.
Also, RIL wasn't giving gas to Anil Ambani, this could also be another reason.

Reliance Fresh provides the worst Customer Services we have ever experienced at any shopping malls
We were customers of Reliance Fresh but we no longer are. They are neither selling at cheaper rates nor providing good customer services even after charging us much more than the existing market prices. We have had worst experiences with the staff and management there while shopping at Reliance Fresh
The best part is that there is no one to even answer to your complains.
The management says nothing to the staff even if he has misbehaved and the staff shouts to his highest pitch with the customer to prove himself right and the management just stands there and listens

Reliance fresh vegetable and fruits prices are not cheap. I am from Ambattur, Chennai. After the opening of the branch here in Ambattur, the prices are higher than the market price.
What happened?
The market prices have increased in par with Reliance fresh. Yes, the marketmen decided to hike the prices to equal the Reliance fresh price.
It is advantage to whoever is the shop owners.
Reliance fresh did not help us, the consumers.
I also have a very serious complain against Reliance Digital (Reliance retail). I started shopping at Reliance digital, shipra in June-07 and I received a temporary card and they add the points in it and said I'll receive the permanent card within 3 months. But, to my utter disappointment, I did not and after 3 months, when I went to check, they said my details have not been updated, so I need to re-fill the form. Ok, I did...in aug-07. I again waited for 3 months, no news. in nov, i went for another purchase and I wanted to redeem the accumulated points (about 400) but they said that my details have not been updated, so I cannot. I was very much disappointed and I talked to the floor manager and he assured me that the details would soon be updated and then I can redeem the points. At last, in Jan-08, I got it checked and found my details have been updated, after about 7 months. Now, God knows when will I receive the original card, if at all I would!! Is there anybody who could look into all this unprofessionalism and take corrective steps so that consumers are not harrassed this way? If they cannot provide the service, then do not offer. If they offer, they should oblidge and serve appropriately in due time.
I do not recive my plastic card till date as per your SMS you delivered it on 17.01.2008. AWB 4024023010. Pls do needfull.

I appreciate the change Reliance is introducing in marketing food and provisions. I visited one of their stores in the suburbs of Mumbai, and the store was well stocked, except that onions were not available. This must be due to the Inventory Conbtrol not working properly They have cash registers which will record the sales, and so if this is seen on a remote computer, they should be able to control the inflow of stocks
It appears that Reliance would like to present themselves in the line of WalMart and if so, it is a pity they cater only the Vegetarians of India and do not represent the multicultural and cosmopolitan population of Mumbai.
I was looking for a frozen meat department and this was missing. Perhaps they want to take some more months to bring it up to date, and in the meantime, others are marching ahead.
I would like the lead they have taken would end up in a glorious revolution in marketing. I hope also they will take the farmers and the villages with them and bring prosperity to them as well.

they are highe than big bazar.another fact, i bought 3 icream , one como pack, mean total two unit to bill . but iwas billed for 4 unit . next day when i told them they say we dont refund even we charge excess. you have to buy icecream only. now yesterday i bought shreekhand, i was oct packing. so it has fungus inside again replcement .i told him that i bought it for having with dinner, but now i have to eat with lunch.
this is surprise that any over charge should be paid and we dont have to go to shop . we should be given free dilevery.
After Reliance Fresh has started venturing into retail space, the un-organized road side vendors have benchmarked their prices against the reliance fresh prices. What used to be cheaper earlier is now turning out to be dearer. I live near Tambaram, Chennai i am finding the prices in Tambaram market and the price of Reliance Fresh are same. Where as the Wholesale price in Koyembedu is much much lesser. The reliance boasted of a very good SCM ( supply Chain Management ) procurring the products directly from producers and retailing. I think all those are just one of the best Marketing Strategy used by Reliance.
They are making fools. The Guys at Reliance Fresh Retails stores are not worth well and not cooperative and arguing with clients.
for Example , We(My wife and me) went to there found Apple has Two price bands, we picked from lowest and purchaes other food and grocerry also and went for billing and the Bill maker guy has arguied that the apples are taken from the high price band,
We immediately put all the things in Reliance store and decided not to purchase anything from there.It has happened in Isanpur Ahmedabad Reliance Fresh Retail Store.the Guy did argue with us and saying bad words also and the rest guys were watching the tamasha. We will never buy anything from RF Stores now onwards.

It seems Relianceone people is busy prasing this blog. I enroll for relianceone Card on November 2007 and the guy at the front desk in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon ensure me that I will gate card in NINTY days. Now this is the seventh month and I haven't received the card. On enquiring the once lady at the Customer care at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon told me lie that my card has been dispatched from Bangalore and it on its way. After three weeks when I spoke (Toll free # 1800-102-7382) with their customer executive they said the Bangalore story is lie, I will get my card with in two weeks. It has been one month I still haven't received my card.
this is regarding the weekly offers of the realiance fresh announced for may month
when we purchased the prescribed amount of 1st offer and request for free gifts the staff told that no stock of the offered gift. Again we tried to purchase in 2nd week offer starting day it self and again we got same reply. Finally the staff told that the offered free gifts was received very low quantity. Is Realiance like a big organisation cannot assess the sales or it is a business tacktis?
I am from Bangalore There is a chance there may be some wrong communication between you and the Reliance Customer Care but Their facilities are not fake. I have been using RelianceOne Card from 10 months but not faced any issue like what you said.I am getting points when Reliance fresh issued me the temporary card and after 7 months I got the permanent card which is a plastic one. Points are valid for 2 yrs. Rest I get lots of offers and discounts through SMS. Regarding Prices of Commodities it is less when compared to Other Shops like Big Bazaar and other local vegetables shops. You should consider Quality also when you are making a comparision with other Retailers.
While I have been buing many items from Relance Fresh shop located at Orient Arcade, Opp AUDA Garden, Bodakdev, Ahmedabad, I have a complaint. Your company supervisors at this office have not been giving me the promised gift of a set of vessels because my order was for more than Rs 1000/-.
It is already a month or so and inspite of my repeatedly reminding the supervisors, they have not been doing anything.

They have noted my Tel No but nothing seems to be happening.He saya that the items ( Gift ) are not coming and that they do not have powers to give me something equivalent.
As a customer , I think I must inform you about this.I have the bill with me duly endored by the staff at the shop and again endorsed by the supervisor that the item is yet to be delivered to me.
I shall have to approach the Consumer Centre if I do not hear anything from you within a reasonable time.

Staff is walking everywhere other than the billing counters. Out of 4 billing counters only 2 are operational with the long queue of customers waiting at billing counter. Radhika (CSE) staff there is very rude to all the clients.

I have been patronising Reliance fresh ever since I happened to visit one such store at Sector 23 in Gurgaon. I am a resident of Palam Vihar, Gurgaon and on transfer have come to Mumbai. I was thrilled to see Sehkari Bhandar, managed by Reliance fresh, outlet in my area i.e. Hyderabad Estate, Napeansea Road Mumbai-400036.I immediately
Registered my self with the store vide card no 224546.
The offers through SMSs from Reliance One became handy and were observed to be applicable to Sehkari Bhandar also. These are being regularly availed.
I was surprised to note that the last SMS of 19/7/08 for TADKA PAN FREE on spends worth Rs 599(18-24JUL) has not been applicable to Sehkari Bhandar.
I get nothing after spending Rs 600/- at SB. Why is the disparity?
Looking forward for a free gift against purchases against Bills C1034 #006, S03917 R004, C5005 #0284 S03918- R002 both dated 19 Jul, and C5005 #0115 S03918-R002 dated 20 Jul 08.
Would appreciate a positive response and a line in reply.

as i have done shopping of 2000 rupees from circle no.110, batala road , amritsar. there was offer of one fry pan free worth rupees 440/- with the purchase of 1000 rupees. the store manager has put pending on my bills, but till the date i have not recieved the pending one's.
I had bought a desktop LG L7747- C9463 + 19TFT vide INVOICE NO. 001440 ON AUGUST 11, 2008 for RS. 29990 alongwith I BALL TARANG from City centre , sector 29 branch, Gurgaon of Reliance Hyper mart Ltd. There are several problems which has made my purchase a very painful experience.
They did not send a person to install the computer until 15th August, 2008 despite repeated requests calling and coaxing almost every related person including the supervisor departmental head etc. They made me wait in futility every day despite all promises, disturbing all my office schedules.
Finally when they sent the person on 15th August, the TFT VDU was found to be defective by the service engineer.
Now the other story has started. They are now dilly–dallying on replacement of the defective VDU.
This gives a very sad picture of the state of affairs in Reliance Retails and their staff. There is absolutely no co ordination amongst the staff members, and the senior staff seems to be a helpless and hapless lot.
I do not know if their behavior is so bad in the beginning, how they will behave when there is a problem with the P.C. later.
I am visiting the Reliance Fresh Regularly in Vivekananda nagar colony, Kukatpaaly, Hyderabad. Most of times, For fruits There is lot of difference in displayed price and the charged price. if we complaint the manager they just says that that price was not changed. If we went at evening time also they will not correct it. Apple are very good for looks, but when cutting they are black in inner surface. They will not take any action on this till now
Hi, am from Aurangabad, Maharashtra. I started shopping at reliance Fresh as there was something new in the city and thought would try it out and since the name said Reliance Fresh thought the items sold too would bear the stamp. I shop at the branch which is near Damesh Nagar,Osmanpura. Initially the vegetables looked ok but later on to my disgut saw many of the vegetables were stale. The leafy one were in a terrible condition. The potatoes were sheer dicards. Tomatoes were in a pulp stste with water running. The refrigerator cupboards had empty shelves and some items even that were there like Paneer and Amul Cheese were found to be stale when taken home. and to add to all this most of the time we have to shop in darkness citing power cuts ( how comes the Spencers inspite of the power cuts have the shop well illuminated). Then I decided to check at the Reliance Fresh at Bajaj Nagar, Waluj, MIDC area. there too the story was no different. The man power is very little and the boys working there have no clue when asked anything. I was told that there are some hotel fellows who send their guys and the fresh stock that should be sold to the customers are carted off at 8am.
Kindly do some thing .. It will earn you all a bad name and soon you will be aother statistics.

I visited the first reliance fresh store at Kolkata, they fleeced me, overcharged me. Items were rarely billed at the rates displayed on special price tags. It was always the same story - the offer doesnt exist any more. Could someone take these guys to the police? Please suggest a law that allows me to take on the giant.

Let me share my experiance Reliance Fresh do not bill correctely also the above scheme is true there is many hidden cost which they charge it was same as in Telecom the hidden cost, More over its a surprising factor being and Employee i am wrighting it wether it would be Telecom earlyer run by Mukesh or later Petrolium or Vimal or Reliance Fresh all same Still customer centric approch is missing , This is a comment Given by an Employee i cannot reveal my Identy but still it is true experiance
although the everyday prices on FMCG are not really low, the offers which occasionally come up are good. Like 50% off on foreign goods like the danish jams and ragu pasta sauces. I like the store and the card is genuine and applicable in all reliance outlets like digital, marts etc. I recently got the statement giving the points earned. The mistakes in billing are there so one needs to check the bill- buyer beware. These are worse in other stores. So Reliance gets a thumbs up from me. The recent Reliance mart in gurgaon had good prices on a lot of stuff like cfl lights and tools etc. Worth checking out.
My feedback is on reliance Digital service in Banaglore, i spent 1.25lakhs on purchase of a LCD TV on 27th October and it got delivered on the 28th, since then i have been just running from pillar to post to get it installed. Today it is 31st 8.30 pm and my situation is still the same. If possible pay slightly more and get decent service, that is all i would request the consumers. Here the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing it is so bad.
It's a clear truth that Relience Fresh dont offer cheper prices. Am From Kerala. I have bought veg from several Relience outlets and found that their price is not cheap and quality of products in not up to the mark.

I am surprised to see that Relaiance managed Sehkari Bhandar is selling items at more than the MRP. today I purchased Besan The MRP is Rs 32/- whereas the outlet charged me 32.40p Weldone Reliance cheap prices.

I bought some apparel at reliance new retail shop at Cochin. On an MRP of Rs 350 they gave it at Rs 299. Shame reliance. Once I removed the price tag to wash it before first use, another tag underneath shows original price of Rs. 199 only. What shame. Cheating only. What else.

Sub: Bad Customer service
I went reliance fresh store at G T Karnal Road, Near Shakti nagar telephone exchange, In front of True value Maruti show room on 12/12/2008 evening. I have selected items of Rs. 1000/- approx. and asked for billing through my credit card. They have refused to accept my payment option due to non availability of paper roll in credit card machine. Reliance may be good at its crude oil n gas business. But retail doesn't seem to be their cup of tea. Its the lack of qualified in-store personnel that make things worse. In fact they have visionary talent as CEOs, but when it comes to the customer interface, that is the people inside the store.. It is absurd. It'd be better if they quit retailing. At least the good name it gathered over years would be spared..Poor Reliance...
If my bill is 305.04 I have to pay 306/- how? 305.04 will round off & make it 305.50, after that they don't have change, so they will take away another 50 paise & make full fig. of 1 Rs.
how ridiculous? they will not leave 4 paise but we have to leave 96paise.
This happens in Reliance fresh at Godbunder road Thane (W)
every time you end up with 1 Rs. instead of 4 paise or so.....It is so small amount but if u calculate in terms of monthly shopping. how much more u end up paying? & how much Rs. they makes out of paise from so many customers.Poor customer feeling shy to ask for 4 Paise.BUT THINK BROAD,our hard money!where it goes?????????
